Baby Emiko on her first night home..just after her box opening video shoot!
Today marks exactly one week since Emiko arrived home to me. Life has been kicking me in the butt as of late, so I have been slow to update my blog, social media and YouTube. Nevertheless, here I am and I want to introduce my sweet Emiko Yuna.
My last few posts have been Work in Progress tidbits about Emiko’s creation from start to finish. Lauren, my friend and talented reborn artist of Pura Vida Babies, is the creator behind this custom reborn doll. It’s always a pleasure to work with her! She is so sweet and is always keeping me laughing. 🙂 I highly recommend her if you’re interested in a custom reborn baby of your own. From start to finish, Emiko’s production time took about four weeks. This includes the wait time for materials to come in the mail to the artist. Overall, I am so smitten with her and I can’t be sad around her adorable cheery face.
I must say, the mottling feature and the belly button her tummy plate is my absolute favorite! It adds so much realism to the overall look of this sculpt. I couldn’t be more pleased with her; she came out just how I hoped she would. She was too cute to leave home on the following day, so I packed up my baby bag and brought her to work with me. My co-workers adored her!
And of course, I had to share a photo or two of her little outfit 🙂
Overall, I am completely happy with Emiko! It is a bitter sweet moment knowing that she is my last reborn doll purchase of the year. I am really planning to stick to my no-buy; unless some huge gracious miracle happens! You can watch my little one’s box opening video below, or on YouTube.
